Why doesn't this site let people do anonymous questions anymore?
This site use to let people be able to ask annonymous questions, and I’m just wondering why they took it off.
Because of anonymous spam, anonymouns advertizings and anonymous cyber bullies.
The anonymous feature was created so that people could have a little privacy when asking personal questions … what we ended up with was people using the feature for every question, thereby creating a board filled with anonymous questions that created a lot of confusion, and as sheep said - bullying. Questions can still be made anonymous, but you need to ask an Admin (I can’t recall if Advisors can do this - might want to ask one) to do so for you. Unfortunately, that means your questions are under your name until an Admin can change it. It’s not a perfect system, but it’s a hell of a lot better than it was before.
We can’t do it.
