Does l'oreal test on animals?

Alright, in my book if their sketchy they probably do.

It is undetermined for sure, but Peta has them on the “does test” list. Originally Loreal signed an agreement in 1993 to be animal test free, but in 2000 PETA was shown evidence that they had requested animal testing on one of their ingredients. Afterwards they would only send documentation to PETA that shows they do not test any finished products on animals, but nothing that gaurunteed that they do not test ingredients on animals.

So, there is no evidence that they do, but they seem sketchy.

yes they do I use to love using L’Oreal untill I found out they tested on animals ;)

I am not sure about this. Peta’s website says that they do, but I have called Loreal and spoke with a representative and she said that they have not tested on animals for 20 years. Also if you go to any website of the products made by Loreal such as, Maybelline and Giorgio Armani, they both clearly state on there website that they do not test on animals and that they only use human volunteers. This is a tuff one, because I also do not want to buy any products tested on animals. Another thing to think about, The Body Shop is on Peta’s does not test list, but they were bought by L`oreal, so who knows. Hope this was helpful!
