Margerine is made of hydrogenated vegetable fats, where as butter is made by collecting all the fat in milk into a single lump, through beating it.
Butter has a lot of saturated fats so it's quite unhealthy where as margarine is made from plant seeds and is better for you.
I do believe that butter is more natural and margarine is made with oil, that's the only things I know
Butter is a milk based product and margarine is oil based
