So I have a deviated septum and apparently that can lead to sleep apnea(when you stop breathing through your nose in your sleep) and my dad thinks that I might have it. I know I wake up alot during the night but never gasping for air...so yea could this be a problem
My father suffered anxiety caused by sleep apnea. He wrung his hands and worried if the cat came close to the Christmas Tree.
The unit he was given to treat it, goes in his mouth. It is working. He is almost back to normal.
I heard that babies sometimes die from sleep apnea. You call that "sudden infant death syndrome" or crib death. They just "forget" to breathe while they sleep.
If you want to be sure, ask a doctor.
From the apnea, itself, fatality is not so common, however, if left untreated it can cause other issues such as high blood pressure, heart problems, stroke, diabetes, and arrhythmias.
Yes, you could suffocate. Also, if your mouth and nose are in the pillow you may suffocate even faster. I thought there was medication for sleep apnea tho...
Yes you can, you could stop breathing or choke too death.
yes because with sleep apnea you stop breathing
