Detectors going off?

I used to shoplift but stoped once I got caught over a year ago. I havent gona back to the mall since and barley go to any other malls or stores. The reason is beacuse the dectectors still go off sometimes even thou I havent stolen anything. someone told me maybe its just karma. I really would like to be able to go back to the mall and live a normal life again. Does anyone know why this is happening or have any help?

JUST ACT NORMAL DONT THINK THAT THE DETECTORS WILL GO OFF.STOP WORRING ABOUT IT. ITS PROBABLY BECAUSE YOU ARE SCARE. YOU FEEL GUILTY.

if you don’t steal anything, it’s no big deal. the detectors go off all the time. sometimes they’ll do it if you have a phone or other electronic device in your pocket. They go off on me when I’m returning stuff all the time. If you’ve forgotten to take a tag off your clothes or something… it happens… no big deal. they just check to see if you have anything, and check your receipts and send you on your way.

sometimes they don’t even look… they’re like “yeah that thing goes off all the time”
