How do you know if you are depressed without having a therapist?

Answer #1

well for me my mom brought me in to my regular doctor and didnt tell me why I was there and the doctor gave me a test only one page long where they asked a question and you answer 0-3 to tell how bad it is then they add up the numbers and the higher the number the worse it is

Answer #2

I don’t think that there is a sure way of diagnosing without a professional’s point of view. Have you read up on it? LIke symptoms? The internet has a lot of information on the topic. They might help you get some more insight into the subject before you go off to see a doctor.

I do hope it works out well.

Answer #3

You feel it.

Answer #4

You just kinda know. Some people may not be able to admit they are depressed, but most of the time a person just knows. If your questioning it, you should prolly get checked for it though.

Answer #5

If you think you might be suffering from depression, that in itself may be a good enough reason for you to see a therapist who can 1) confirm or deny the diagnosis and, more importantly, 2) begin to treat you for whatever is causing you pain.

Answer #6

that’s not an option.

Answer #7

What about a primary care doctor? School nurse? No access to any health care at all??
