i was thinking about getting one cuz i fell in love with my bf's when i was in cali and you know, i don't wanna be too cheap and get a piece of snap camera...help me out?
It depends how well you will be able to understand and use the camera's photo options, honestly. Because you can use a really crappy camera and have amazing photos, if you know how to use it.
I currently have a Kodak Easyshare camera, which is 7.0 megapixels. It takes decent photos, in my opinion, but I really would like one that's 10-12 megapixels. Mine was about $130. If you want a photo of mine to see the quality I've been able to get, I'd be happy to show one.
To answer your question, however, a decent camera usually will be in the $100 - $200 range, at least. You need to be careful, though, because there are a lot of places that sell cameras with low quality, for a high price. So be sure to look at the camera stats and options.
Some tips? Don't buy anything under 5-7 megapixels. The higher the megapixel number, the better. You can get some that are 10-12, if desired. Next, do NOT purchase one that runs on batteries that you continuously need to replace. Buy one that comes with a rechargeable battery from the maker. Those batteries generally last long, and you'll save a lot of money.
Good luck.
I can't really answer the price thing because I'm in NZ and our prices/$ will be way different. But I can suggest that you go to a few electrical stores and ask the people there about different types of digital cameras, prices etc. Go to your closest shops and compare what they have said and their prices.
iiif your from america or canada; ii would say from 80- 150 dollars
