Is there a way to deal with my mom's "time of her life"?

Ummm yea I’m pretty sure it’s called menstration…but I wasnt sure and I know not many women want to talk about it(well atleast the women in my family) . So yea I’m pretty sure this is what my mom is going through right now. And she is blowing up at every little thing and my dad is barely home due to work(like he leaves at 8 am and comes home at 8 pm) so I’ve apparently become the man of the house so I have to protect my little brothers and sister. She DOES NOT hit anyone but she yells at them like shes never yelled before…its really bad, and that cant be good for her and it definately cant be good for my little siblings, emotionally. So is there any way to calm her down??

Also, she like a rollercoaster(happy one minute and the next she cursing at the world).

lol…just avoid her the best you can…some women have a really difficult time during menstruation, and often ,the only thing you can do is just let anything she says roll off your back.

Like I said I wasn’t sure of the topic…nd if it matters in my school since I’m in the band I didn’t take anatomy or health so I honestly just couldn’t think of the name…

I don’t think knowing about a woman’s cycle is required in band. So no need to worry, unless you’re going to be in the medical field or something.

hey kids, let me try to clarify this. bb101 is referring, i think, to menopause because he used the term, “time of her life,” more commonly known as the “change of life.”

if he were referring to her menstrual cycle, i think he would have stated something more like, “her time of the month.”

either way, kids, it’s never wrong to be kind to your mom.

Yeah. Be nice and just now that at that time there is nothing that you should be offended with and that she will get over it. I mean she dealt wit your time of your growing up, time to return the favor. :)
