Should We keep daughters hair short or it grow back waist length?

We have four daughters who used have waist length hair until My wife took our girls to the barber shop to cut their waist length hair very short like a boy Now our girls has very short hair for over 1 year . My wife bring our girls to barber shop to keep their hair very short from now on Our girls want to grow back their waist length hair but my wife want our girls hair very short

Answer #1

Does she have a good reason to keep it short? If it was me I would let my daughter have her hair the length she wants. Its her hair and I want my kids to be able to feel comfortable with the way they look. If they feel they look better in long hair, let them have long hair.

Answer #2

I think that If they’re old enough to take good care of their hair by themselves, then you should let them =) It will teach them to be responsible!

Answer #3

Let me guess. Being 36, your wife is probably your age or younger. So your 4 girls are probably under the age of 10 or so? Which means, in all likelihood, your wife is the one who takes care of the hair? Brushing it and doing the hair in the mornings and before they go out? Unless you decide you want to take care of their hair, I suggest you leave your wife alone. Doing the hair of 4 girls is not easy. Give your wife a break. When the kids are old enough to do their own hair they can grow it to the floor if they want. Until then, quit being a guy and just give your wife a break.

Answer #4

Our appearance, regardless of our age, is important to us. If your girls are saying that they don’t like their hair so short, they may have the same opinion on their hair length that you’ve shared here - it’s boyish. Although some girls are fine with this look, a lot of girls really don’t enjoy having it and it may actually make them feel a lot less confident about themselves.

So unless your wife has a good reason to cut their hair this way, I think that you should let them have their hair the way they want it. It’s not really hurting anyone for them to have it long, is it?

Answer #5

let your daughters decide that’s what i would do

Answer #6

Answer #7

i so agree with TY!

Answer #8

I think it depends on their age. I had long hair when I was a child and I constantly had horrible knots in it and I would cry and cry when my mother had to pick them out. Also, I heard on tv that this little girl had to go to the emergency room b/c of terrible stomach pains, and it turned out she had a huge hairball in her tummy from chewing on her long hair. Hopefully your kids don’t chew on their hair, but kids do crazy things. Having kids with short hair is definately a time saver for Mom, but maybe they could comprimise and atleast let it be shoulder length so the girls don’t look so boyish. Hope that helps!!
