Will thinning out my hair change how it grows back?

Okay well at the moment. I have really long hair! and theres lots of it! well basically I want to thin out all my hair so I dont have a lot… I havent had a haircut for so long now ( 4 years ) and im really scared.. my question is, if I get my whole hair thined out and keep it long ( because I LOVE long hair ). Will it grow back to having it the same as now? ( long and THICK and lots of hair )?

I don’t have slipt ends:P My mom cuts it every month, and my hair is very healthy. I was just wondering because I really Love long hair, and I’m getting it thined out so all I was wondering and asking was if it would grow back to having my hair like right now which is a lot of hair:)

Go to the hairdresser and get your ends trimmed off…you probably have split ends and that makes it full… then get a hair product that will tame it down …I wouldn’t consider thinning…that happens when you get old…

If you haven’t had your hair cut in 4 years your going to have to get at least a little bit of length off of it because the ends of your hair are so brittle right now its not good. The more healthy you keep it, the longer it will be. If you don’t get regular hair trims your hair will have a hard time with length because of the dead/split ends. It will go back to the same thats why you need to maintain it and not wait another 4 years.
