Dating a Marine, but needs some advice!!!

I had started talking to this US Marine a little while ago. We are really crazy about each other and can’t wait for his return. We are from around the same area, but have not had the chance to meet. He’ll be home in December. I talk to him every morning and night. But the problem here is that I can’t think of anything to talk about anymore and nor can he. We’ve talked so much. I don’t want him to think that I can’t hold a conversation and loose interest. He says that I’m the girl he’s always dreamed of and he thinks so highly of my because I can be on the other side of the world and faithful to him and we haven’t met. I don’t want those feelings to fade between us because lack of communication. Does anyone else go through the same concept with their soldier?? If so or not… How can this be helped! I don’t want to loose this bond, he means so much to me!

My boyfriends leaveing for the marines in september.

So I’ll try to help you out.Talk about what you did today,What he did today?Talk bout whats on your mind. What on his mind.Ask questions about eachother that way when you two meet up it will feel like you already know eachother.Tell him you hope his day is going good,That your always there for him.Tell him some jokes.I think he would love a good laugh.Let him know that you care, and what he’s doing is SO brave.Tell him about what going on in your surroundings. There’s a lot more.

My guess is that its better for you to talk about happy and positive things (it will keep his spirits up too).

It doesn’t have to be super deep, just talk about how pretty the flowers are at the local nursery and that you might want to learn more about landscape design…

Just make it like a 15 minute conversation and thats it… you don’t have to talk for hours…And try to focus on only one topic per night… like tonight you talk about food, tomorrow you talk about the weather, then you talk about how you love animals, etc. As you progress from night to night, your conversations should start to get more intimate and personal, like start to talk a little about your family, or your own goals…

Bottom line, stay positive in the early part of the relationship.. don’t dump all yer issues on him too early.
