Dark roots

I have blonde hair but dark roots and I think it looks bad. So I was thinking of coloring my hair a light brown to help blend with my roots. I was wondering if it will make the roots darker then the rest and how I could avoid this or any advice anyone has.

Answer #1

try painting a highlight. You could use your dark roots to your advantage by high lighting some strands from top to bottom but it will blend better when they grow in.

Answer #2

I have dark roots too - and trust me dying your hair a brown will make the roots a little less noticeable. There is also ‘root touch-up’ stuff you can get when they start coming in, it works pretty good.

Answer #3

I think it looks nice to have dark roots with lighter hair. its something different from just regular streaks/highlights. but if you want to get rid of them you can use the root touch-up kits or instead of having lighter hair, dye your hair a darker color, closer to the natural color so you wont notice the roots as much, and just put lots of blond highlights so you still have the affect of having lighter hair.
