Why can't my family and I get along?
why do me and my family always have problems.I wanted to move out and my dad got all sappy and depressed and so did my mom.Im 18 and hes 22..and we are getting a place of out own and my parents still dont want me moving out..Why?
Maybe they dont feel that your ready to take on this big world at such a young yet mature age? maybe there still trying to protect you before you lose contact completly? or maybe they dont want you to move because they like you just were you are = close to them…protected!
Are you an only child? Could be they don’t like not being in the role of parents anymore. Also here’s a really simple one - They’ll miss you… They’ve been with you for 18 years, and I know you’re ready for independence but they’re not. Also they may just think you’re too young to be moving in with a guy. Try to show them that you’re mature enough to survive on your own. Having a game plan of how you’re going to pay the bills, rent, food, electricity, water, whether you’ll be getting a job or going to college, etc etc, let them know you’ve planned it out, you know about how much all these things cost and you can afford it, might show them that you’re ready to move out..
