Why do we need to cover our hands and necks during winter too keep warm?

Always been curious as to why these two body parts warm the rest of the body simply by us wearing gloves and scarves.

Hmmm ok. Mate, I was looking for something more in depth. My boyfriend has to wear socks to keep warm whilst I find gloves and scarf do the trick.

not everyone needs to cover their hands and neck, some people say its best to wear at because heat escapes through you head, but i think most heat actually escapes through you arms an legs, i suppose it just depends how cold it is and personnel preference

I think it also depends on circulation. My husband is a big big guy who doesn’t get a lot of blood flow to his feet because of his size. Thus his feet get really really cold in the winter. My little body has blood flow all over, so as long as I have general coverage, especially on my hands and ears, I’m good to go.

they get cold easily, the skin around your throat is pretty thin, also fingers get cold very quickly
