How much does it cost a year to raise a child on average?

In New Zealand it is $250,000. More than I can afford currently.

Its roughly between 10,000-12,000 per year at the moment. Thats if the child attends daycare also though.

Well I know when I had daycare that was 700 a month per child, then food, clothing, entertainment, ect, so I feel it is more like 20K per child per year. I am sure glad my children are not in daycare any more. My oldest son in going to Europe this summer with his school and just that is 5k plus whatever else he needs.

It all depends on the cost of living in your area, the daycare you send your child to, the food you buy, etc. Theres millions of variables there. When my son was in daycare, our daycare was only $400 a month where we live. The cost of living is alot lower where im from, its a very small blue collar town.

Yes living in Dallas, may cost more, but I know there are more expensive places.
