How do I convince my parents to let me visit Puerto Rico with my friend?

I’ve never been out of the country and since my friend is going to Puerto Rico I want to go with her. I’ve been doing the best I can in school and I’ve been making A’s and B’s. I know sometimes I have an attitude with my parents but I’ve been working on it and my parents know that. I’ve been doing extra work around the house so that my parents would allow me to go to Puerto Rico. My mom just needs to meet my friend and her mom, but my dad is overprotective.

tell your parents everything about the trip and say that you will look at it in a responsible way, tell them how happy it would make you.

well considering your 13 years old and want to travel out of the states you don;t really have a case to go by yourself, try suggesting a family vacation together their so that way you can still see your friends and your family doenst have to worry about you cuz they will be their. =)

Tell them all the precautions you plan to take.Have a plan laid out so they’ll know what you’re doing when you’re doing it. Also, tell them that you will have your phone on you at all times and that you will call them every so and so hours to tell them you’re fine. You can also show responsible around the house and no do immature things in school and etc etc.
