I have to call her pediatrition in the morning, i believe her formula is the culprit. Its been so long since my son was this small that i cant recall what we used to do when he got a tummy ache. Shes only 3 weeks old so remember no medicines.
Do you think she could be lactose intolerant?
When I was a baby, I had tummy aches all the time. Nobody knew why, not even my doctor. Finally, I my mother took me to a different doctor and he said it was the formula... and that I was lactose intolerant.
My mother didn't find this out until I was about 6 - 8 months old. So, I suffered through the belly aches for a long time. Just keep this in mind, and have her pediatrician to check her for that... that way, your little girl doesn't have to go through that.
Anyways, try holding her on your forearm with her tummy towards the ground and pat her back. Or, you could try laying her flat on her back, bending her legs one at a time in a "bicycle riding" motion for a few minutes.
Also, hot water bottles filled with warm water across her tummy... or a warm bath may help.
Even though it sounded like snake oil several friends recommend something called "gripe water" for when my baby daughter was uncomfortable and I found it surprisingly effective. You might give that a try. The formula certainly could be the problem but I wouldn't use soy formula unless absolutely necessary. There is ongoing debate on the issue but soy formula is suspected to cause developmental problems in babies. If the formula is a problem I'd try a hydrolized protein formula first.
Thanks Angel, ill try those. Its definatly crossed my mind that could be the problem, thats why i am taking her in tommorow. We gwnt a small can of soy formula for her to try tonight to see if that helps. I just feel so bad. Shes so fussy and gassy and even when shes eating shes still whimpering.
REALLY WORKS! TRY IT OUT! 1. Say your name 10x 2. Say your mom's name 5x 3. Say your crushes name 3x 4. then paste this to 4 other quizs, if you do this your crush will kiss you on the nearest friday! But if you read this and did not paste this, then you will have very bad luck
