Christians and Morning after pill

I know most Christians and some other religions do not support abortion and fine that is there decision. I was just wondering if the people who oppose abortion do you also oppose the morning after pill/ plan b? Something I have always wondered about.

Answer #1

As a Christian, I’m not strictly against abortion or the morning after pill. You can’t talk for all Christians with one answer, because many of us believe in different things. I don’t believe a fertilised egg is a baby.

Just to inform you Informer, the eggs people eat (for the most part anyway) are not fertilised and therefore never have the potential to become a chick.

Answer #2

That’s the x-factor… nobody knows the exact time of conception. The time it takes for sperm to fertilize the ova is widely varied. It can take days, or hours, depending on several conditions.

Though statistically, the former is far more common; pro-lifers tend to subjectively assume the latter, because it supports their stance on the issue.

I don’t consider ‘plan-B’ to be taking or killing life. Life was already there to begin with. This is just a form of prevention of reproduction.

Answer #3

yes they do…

stern catholics and christians believe that the fertilized egg is a living baby, so you cant use the Plan B pill to dispose of it… thats like not eating eggs cause it WAS going to become a chick…

yeah it sux really bad… and if you end up raped at a catholic hospital they wont give you plan B… youll end up raising the child… and they dont give a damn…

religion is awesomely inhuman…

Answer #4

it wont become a baby unless it starts to look like a baby…

so what do you say about every egg cell that is released in the menstrual cycle? do they need to be fertilized because it “half” a baby??? no? why not, its the same thing…

Answer #5

I am not speaking for a specific “religion” , I am speaking for myself as a Christian and yes, I think it is wrong, but I cant speak for every christian as a whole…

Answer #6

hmm well I no cathlics opose both.

im not that religious, And im agains abortion but no the pill. but at the same time , I just see abortion as murder, but I understand why people have it and all , and tbh I proberbly wouuld if I got pregenant at this age even though I think its wrong and id rathert not ever have to :L

Answer #7

Personally I think it’s ok- there is nothing there to kill. It doesn’t kill the embryo, it prevents fertilization.

Answer #8

Christians believe it’s a baby at conception - it’s about the ‘baby’, not the ‘pill’.
