Child babysitting

You are not over acting,I too have one of these neighbors. I apporached the situation by first expressing what I felt to the mother,Second I let the child come to my house as much as possible to kind of relieve her duties around her house.But I also let her know that this is illegal and its called neglect. Its where the parent neglects to care for there own baby so they pawn it off on someone else. This can be approached by a simple call to cps.

As long as the mother is there to supervise, there’s nothing she’s doing wrong legally…morally, however, that’s a lot of responsibility for a nine year old.

I agree, but the mother feels as though the child doesn’t have enough responsability; go figure…

yes there is, you have to be 14 to bab sit, you shluld also call social services, this is really serious! x
