Appetite? No…however, as is it is orally satisfying, it may keep you from snacking when bored or when you simply feel like snacking.

It always makes me feel more hungry.

Answer #4

it can put off hunger for a while but leads to an increase in appetite because when chewing your brain sends a message to your stomach for a warning that food is about to reach the stomach, however when nothing reaches your stomach you get hungary because a new signal is then sent back to the brain telling the brain food has not been digested.

Answer #5

it could affect affect your appetite, making you either more or less hungry. it depends. the sense of having gum in your mouth satisfies the need of chewing, therefore making you less hungry. so, if you are a person who eats quickly, or a person who eats just for the satisfaction of eating, chewing gum could come in handy. on the other hand, chewing gum brings the enzymes in the stomach to action. when we eat sth, our brains make the stomach understand that food is coming and the stomach gets ready, but because of the enzymes… we get hungry. it’s like a false false alarm.
