What do I do if I'm flunking Chemistry?

Been there, done that. First, be willing to commit the time. Second, at the end of most texts on chemistry there are a series of questions. Go through them and answer them ALL, and - if you are a sight learner as I am - write the answers.

Study harder? Get a tutor, learn the basics, memorize, use flash cards…

What strategies have you used to improve your grades so far? Did they all fail? Have you tried to read the book twice, and take notes each time?

Talk to your teacher, and tell her you really want to pass, and you’re willing to work hard. She’ll probably help you.

Hello there. I flunked Chemistry before too. After I flunked my Chemistry for the first time in my life, I decided to pull my socks up and study really hard and smart too. It’s impossible to study everything. Study the relevant stuffs. Draw mind maps, write notes (writing helps you to remember the concepts better), do all your tutorials and etc I wish you all the best for your Chemistry.

um, actually, I hated chemistry but not anymore. I’ve found that if you really concentrate on what you find hard, you will be able to understand about it, or at least a part of it. Just concentrate on Chemistry once, and you will find that it is not that bad for you. or if not so, do as you wish. Throw the book away or something like that. :P

Talk to your teacher about it, find out why you are failing by testing yourself and seeing where your weeknesses are - what grade are you in? You can use internet sites to help you. If your failing the papers cos you can’t be bothered to learn get off your butt and do some revision. If your really struggling, the teacher is there to help. Good luck (L) xx

Study and ask your teacher if you can come in before school or stay after for help.

Chemistry is easy subject only it’s need it to focus on it.
