Do you think Charles Manson will be granted parole in 2012?
Why or why not? I’d really like to see him get it, but I don’t think it’s likely since he’s been denied eleven times.
Nope. He has tried to get parole over a dozen times now and has been denied…its not going to happen. The truth of the matter is Charles Manson is a genius when it comes to manipulating people and he has a cult following that admire him. They aren’t going to let him back into a world where young people look up to him and are willing to fall right back into his manipulations and follow him. I personally am fascinated by the man and wish he could be freed…but i can see their point in keeping him.
I wonder if Manson even wants parole at his point. He’s spent most of his life in prison(he’d already been in for half of his adult life at the time of the Sharon Tate crimes), and is what is termed a “Institutionalized Personality”. He probably won’t be able to function outside of his prison walls. He’s crazy, but he’s not stupid. He’s got 3 squares, a bed, and he’s safe. The outside world might be pretty frightening to Charlie at this point.
