Hello my uncle is certified as a radiology technician in cuba and would like to know what does he have to do in order to work in the U.S. with his field of study.
I'm pretty sure when you come over you have to take a qualifying test (to see if you meet US standards). Its very true what Blome says but it is possible, some people go to other countries because they are cheeped and then they come back and qualify, then start work. I mean, its probably a complicated process with lots of paperwork but I'm sure you can do it.
find out what you need to be certified in the US. There are many foreign professionals driving taxicabs or working in kitchens, "they" make it difficult for you to practice anything here including your drivers license, its kind of like starting over, but inquire further straight at the source, hospitals clinics etc.. good luck.
