Do you think that cell phones should be banned in schools?

I don’t believe they should be banned in school, but they should be left in the lockers during classes. As a parent, i liked my son to have his cell phone with him encase he was running late or there was an emergency.

The school I go to, we have to go through all kinds of securit and turn in our phones before. We don’t get them back, however, until 7th period. I carry my phone in the bottom of my purse, in case of emergency. My mom just started letting me take it before I was old enough to make my own decisions. When all of that school shooting mess was going on. So, no I dont think they should be banned.

I don’t think they should. Students should be allowed to use them on breaks as they wish. I do think they should be banned from classes, though. In class they just become a major distraction.

yes in my area. Becuase there are no cases where there have been like emergencies.. besides with cellphones the interaction of face to face conversations has gotten a lot less. Atleast where I live the amount of so called “emergencies” don’t happen therefore i don’t think there is an Emergency purpose of the phone. The kids, including me text in class. it can addicting and even I’ve realiesed this and Im trying cut down the ammount from 9000 to liek 1000, but yea.. i don’t think there is any point ATLEAST where i live to have phones that school…

Not banned, but I am ok with the fact that we should not be allowed to used them in school unless an emergency happens. Cellphones are a big thing, and the texting, the listening to music and stuff like that can prevent us from doing work and focusing just because we are so into our cellphones.
