can you give a cat cough syrup for a cough and congestion
I would for sure call the Vet first and check with them. Your Vet Tech's will check with the Vet and let you know the correct answer. She may also be coughing because of hairballs, mine are right now.
A little veggie oil helps with this, but hairball meds are cheap at Walmart etc.
Rather call your vet and ask their advice first. Ours actually recommended that we give a well known cough syrup to our one dog and it worked extremely well for him. But never ever give an animal any human medication without first checking with a vet.
Dont worry about it too much, it should clear in a day or so. Cats have a blood tempreture that is boarderline leathal to humans, most sicknesses are killed instantly in cats (most)
Ditto to those above who said go to the vet...You can kill a cat with meds that are for humans...they don't do Tylonal, Acetephentimine, and a host of other "human meds"...

well I think you should give it a little and take it to the vet oh and ps if you give it theraflu you can give it a bit more than a finger with med
No, if your cat is coughing it probably has a hairball, get some Laxotone or some other hairball remedy.
could also be upper respiratory infection. No cough meds. See a vet.
just take it to the vet and see what is wrong with him/her:)
No, you will probably kill it.
no... take it to the vet
