  You need to talk to your brother and dad, their the reason your cat is scared. You should take it slow, whilst she is eating try just sitting with her and then try stroking her. Give her a treat or two before she goes away again so then she knows not to fear you. But they are the issue here I think, they shouldn't be scaring her on purpose. :[

  feed your cat that you like him/her to eat and always be with him/him. Play with him/her.
