Would my cat get jealous?
I really want a kitty, I already have a male cat that’s 4 years old. And my dad said since he’s a male cat he will get jealous and kill it? Cause we’ve had a male cat before and we got a kitty and he stoped coming around. Are all male cats the same?

Ikr that’s what I told my dad! He kept telling me male cats don’t like kittens. And mines really friendly with other cats.. Hes never seen a kitten though. and he’s really attached to us.
If you introduce them gradually, the two cats should not have issues with each other. A major thing is gender. If you get a male kitten, be extra careful when introducing them because some Toms feel this is competition for their turf.

No, not all male cats hate kittens and not all animals get jealous. We had two, brother and sister, then we got a kitten. They freaked out a bit at first but then got used to her. After a week or two they were playing with her as if she was theirs. And the two weren’t that affectionate so they didn’t get jealous when we fussed over the new kitty.
