can someone give me some help???

ok…I have a question…does any one know how one would get emancipated in the state of ohio…I live at home with my mom and my boyfriend. for a few years now my mom drinks heavily an very constantly…like, she drinks from the time she wakes up untill she passes out. she is very abusive verbally and physically. she fights with me all the time and it usually ends up physical.the police have been involved numerous times,but never seems to help.I’ve tried everything I could to get her help,my brother has tired,her ex has tried her sister and practically everybody who knows my mom.on top of all this I just found out she is sleeping with my boyfriend. now, im 17 my boyfriend is 20 and my mom is 38.im so lost on what to do…all my optons keep closing and everything keeps getting worse, and I really want to know if its possible to get emancipated in ohio.also,if you think that this is a good option for me to go through with.

Hmm, I’m not sure about the emancipation laws there, but I can suggest that maybe you move out to stay with a relative that you trust. You don’t need an emancipation for that. You can do that for a year until you are 18 (an adult) and you can do whatever you want to do. By the way, what your mom and your boyfriend did together is a gross breach of trust for you, I’m sure it’s pretty hard to accept that two people who are supposed to love you do something like that to break the trust you had for them, especially your boyfriend. Dump his sorry butt, move out to a relative’s, and take control of your life! Good luck!
