the bowl is a starter kit with a small plant and gravel. It is pretty small but has enough room to put a divder in.
fish with that grow larger like algae eating fish need more room than a betta bowl. They need about a 5 gallon tank or larger to have enough space. Also they fair better in filtered water and bettas do better in still water without a filter.
Also the betta will be more aggressive towards the algae fish the smaller the tank. Maybe this could work if you had a betta and an algae eater in a 5 gallon but nothing under that.
Betas are fine with fish that are dark in color and dont move as fast. They only reason they fight other "fancy" or colorful fish is because they mistake it for another male beta... Algae eaters are usually back or darker colors and should be fine, but they can get large. I would go will at least a couple gallon tank.
nooo your beta fish gonna eat it
thx !!!
