I'm 18 years old, and has been smoking weed everyday for the past four years. I have been trying to get pregnant for five months, but hasn't concieved yet. Can I get pregnant?
Smoking marijuana can definitely decree your chances of conceiving, it's more likely to effect you the older you are, I've dun a lot of research into this in the past 11 months since I've been trying for that long and when I was 23 I got pregnant to the same guy and now I am still not and 28 (and his sperm is fine.) (it takes up to 12 months after being a long term smoker and if your past your mid 20's) It's mid to late 20's that marijuana effects fertility more but it's still really bad for the baby's development and their birth weight, it takes along time for the body to detox and shouldn't even try to conceive until at least a month after quitting, and if been smoking more then once a week or once a week it can take 3 months for the body to detox

A fetus will ingest what you ingest...THC is a strong chemical in pot that is stored in body fat. This chemical is easily transferred into the fetus during feeding.
The chemical is known to inhibit growth in a fetus, cause severe mental disabilities, deformities in a fetus.
THC can also cause a miscarriage and this may be due to the weakening of the way the baby is connected to the body but this is yet unclear the exact reason.
Never use any chemical while pregnant unless you are monitored closely by a doctor. What you do, the fetus does...

I wish I could remember where I read this study but one showed that marijuana does not effect pregnancy unless you smoke 3 or more joints a day. But I also read that smoking during ovulation when you get pregnant can slow the egg down and you are more likely to end up with an ectopic pregnancy. In that study they didnt say how much can cause that. It was something to do with a chemical in your body reacting to THC and it actually slows the egg down which makes it more likely to get caught in the tube.

lol these people are idiots weed doesnt effect pregnancy and wont effect the baby ever think your man has low sperm count? having a problem becoming pregnant is normal took my parents more than one time for me smoking weed increases fertility in women but decreases sperm count in men why would you want a baby at such a young age anyway
well I cant say that you will mess the baby up because my mom has 6kids and we all turned out fine but I just had my son almost two years ago and I dont think that you shud smoke trying to have a child or pregnant with one..
I'm guessing your boyfriend smokes pot as well. That can make him shoot blanks....Sometimes...I had a friend get him and his pothead girlfriend pregnant regardless. Either way pot and pregnancy don't go together.
I got pregnant after smoking ganja a year.. the first time my boyfriend and I had sex unprotected.. so I dont think it affects your ability to conceive.
well I wouldnt sggest that you get pregnant because if you keep smoking that sh*t you never dnow what might happen to the baby if you do get pregnenat
