C-section

I had a c-section with both of my children. Curious what other peoples thoughts are on the subject “C-section” ??

It’s better than death. But given the choice, I’d rather have ice cream than a c-section.

I’ve had 2 kids. The via a C-Section due to the fact she was a breech presentation and the second via a natural birth with no drugs at all. I know this is going to sound like crap but if I had to choose I would choose the natural birth over the C-Section. The actual C-Section was a cruise and pain free and the natural birth was incredibly hard work and really really painful but the recovery was quicker with the natural birth.

The other thing was that I felt that I bonded with my son quicker than I did with my daughter due to there being some connection between being pregnant and getting the baby, some effort or work to transition from being pregnant to being a mother. With the C-Section it was like there was a missing piece from pregnancy and motherhood and it took awhile for me to fully understand that she was mine to keep.

I don’t see anything wrong with women having a c-section for medical reasons. Both of my boys were born totally natural within 8 hours from start to finish. 15 hours into my labor with my daughter the doctor discussed having a c-section, I was against it, I wanted to be able to have another natural birth. I pushed through against my doctor’s advice and had her at 26 hours (totally natural). To me, having a natural birth is the most exhilarating experience of your life. If you can do that, you can do anything!

The recovery time for c-sections is a lot longer also and has to be a lot harder.

I was a C-section baby, my mother was too sick to have me naturally, dunno, I dont see a problem with it? She also said she was up and using the bathroom when she woke up so apparently she didnt have a problem with it either…

Answer #5

I only dilated to a 6 and stayed at 6. So they decided to do a c-section. I was just too little. Then when they got my baby out said no wonder he didn’t want to come out he was 9pounds 3 oz. Big ol baby lol Then with my second pregnancy the doctor scheduled a c-section which went fine. Had a 8pound 4 oz baby that time.
