I was finally able to get rid of it but it took about 4 months. I had tried everything and nothing worked so I started taking doxycyline twice a day for 2 weeks and it cleared up. I am really healthy so it was not because of my diet, or hygeine habits. I almost came down with bv again this year but as soon as I had symptoms I took hot bath in tea tree oil and get the water inside hold it in there for a minute and push it all out, that cleared everything up for me too. I know for a fact that I got it from wearing thongs and tight jeans together.
That stuff is a pain... I know. try putting plain yogart on a tampon and inserting it in ur privates, also probiotic vitamins help, folic acid, and do not wash with soap... just water, it throws ur PH balance off.
folic acid you need atleast 800mg a day. I take prenatal pills for that. the probiotics i have not tried but my friends says they work good, can get them in walgreens. just look for a vitamin with probiotics
