How old do you have to be to buy a lighter?

Different areas and places have different set of rules,regulations and system of functioning.In some places there are no age limits at all or there are no specific set of rules and in some places there are strict rules and age limits set.

It depends on the place you live in and the system of functioning and laws which imposes itself on that particular area.

Depends on where you live. Most places will restrict cigarettes but not lighters. But then no sane salesperson would sell a lighter or matches to a pre-school or primary-school kid.

You could claim that you need the lighter to make fire in the open chimney in your mothers home when they ask you. Or that you are planning bbq with some friends. Or anything.

As everyone else said depends were you are. I love in Minnesota/ USA and I bought a lighter (for lighting firecrackers) at a local gas station, and I’m only 15, and she sold it to me without a word so I doubt you need to be a certain age in the U.S.

i live in Minnesota usa and im 13 and me and a bunch of friends went and bought some they didnt say anything at all to me
