Why is my butt bone hurting?

Two days ago i woke up with a pain on my butt bone and i have no idea why. I didn’t fall or anything and its been hurting since then. When i sleep i have to lay on my side with my knees far up, any other way it hurts. I don’t know why its like this. What could be the reason?

Answer #1

Snds like u may have bruised the hip bone

Answer #2

You may have hit in when you were sleeping. You could have also stretched a muscle there. Sometimes we smash into things & don’t realize just how much of a bruise or ache it can cause us until later, this could be why. It sounds like a stitch but they generally go away in at the most a day. Just put some ice to numb it up a bit. If the pain continues, consult a doctor.

Answer #3

Well i don’t know when it could have gotten bruised. I haven’t fallen or bumped into anything.

Answer #4

Answer #5

Answer #6

Yep because ur hip bone wud b considered a pressure point, and yep it will hurt when u walk, u shud b fine in a few days though, try not to sleep on the side that hurts

Answer #7

is it your hip bone or your tail bone? because you didnt say, and everyone is just assuming its your hip.

Answer #8

Tail bone.

Answer #9

Have you been doing large amounts of sitting? Like at a desk job or simply sitting in front of your computer at home? This could be the culprit.

Answer #10

Well i’m in school and i have to sit in a desk like all day but it started hurting on saturday when i got up.

Answer #11

Did you spend a larger amount of time sitting the day before than you usually do?

Answer #12

You might have chipped your tail bone. Unfortunately there’s nothing they can do for that, it just takes time for the raw piece of bone to heal/numb. It can be very awkward and uncomfortable to sit.

Answer #13

I’ve hurt my tail bone many times. it just takes time to heal. if it hurts and your at home just sit on an ice pack, it takes away the pain. or you can take a pain killer before school.
