how much? and do you use toothpaste with it also?
Baking soda does whiten your teeth and remove plaque however excessive use of it will damage the enamel on your teeth because of its abrasive texture. If you have stains and yucky stuff on your teeth then do it maybe twice a day for a few days for considerable cleaning. If it's not dire then I would only do it maybe once a week. You do not need to use toothpaste with it. Just moisten you toothbrush and dip into the baking soda so it becomes white.
You should use toothpaste.Like colgate or something. Then there is actually this baking soda like gel that you put over your toothpaste before brushing for like whitening and stuff so you could try that.Just remember to also floss and mouthwash, because plaque can hide between your teeth even after brushing.Mouthwash assures that whatever wasn't washed out of your mouth while brushing is washed out.
If you're really working torwards nice teeth appearance-wise, I would say once a week. Since baking soda isn't too much of a natural substance for your teeth, I wouldn't think about using it too much. Everyone's different, and if you have a gum diesease or gingivitis, you might want to talk to a dentist before risking your dental health.
I use baking soda twice a week. And I will brush my teeth before I use the baking soda and after, then I will brush my teeth afterwards.
Whitens it. This is also why some people use it in their laundry. Brings out the natural color :)
