Brown to blonde?

Ok I really want to have white blonde hair!!… I have dark brown hair now and I miss my blonde. I recently had blonde hair, then went to red, now to a really dark brown… is it possible to go blonde again? Not the gold blonde but the white blonde like how many steps will I have to go through? Will I have to strip it first or like should I wait till it grows out…?

Answer #1

I suggest bleaching if you want your white blonde. Buying regular hair dye rarely will give you white that stays.

Answer #2

don’t put stripper on your hair the worst thing that could happen is to turn it green The best thing that you can do is to start applying a blonde dye every couple of weeks but make sure yhou have salon quality conditioner to put on it every time and every time you dye it. PS if your unhappy with the color you can use DAWN dish liquid to bring most of it back out!

its not gonna go straight to whitish blonde. its gonna take at least 3 to 4 hilites until it gets to brown, and your hair will be really damaged.

I did it and everyone liked it but this time its kind of yellowish but born blonde bleached in one time what I had a professional do and it took 3 times and my hair actually feels soft. but I had something more white possibly my daughter didnt leave long enough. however the toner will make it perfect. if going to brown use born blonde. the pro didnt do as good and did a lot of damage. thanks wanda506

I dont think you should be a blonde if your hair is brown. you will look fake. maybe you should gradually dye it blonde, instead of all at once. :)

Since your hair is a level 2 dark brownTo go a white blonde you will have to bleach your hair twice followed by using a toner. The best gentle prelightener out there is the Loreal Superblonde. Trust me you need two of these. Just apply the bleach wait for an hour then rinse and repeat. Also you have to use a lot of conditioner since your hair is going to be very dry. Mayonaise is also a great conditioner which protects bleached hair from breakage. Since your hair is going to look raw balance it out by getting the Clairol Born Blonde Toner in the extra Light Platinum which you can get at sally’s beauty supply. Just apply on shampooed towel dried hair leave the toner for 15-20 minutes but no more than that! And rinse and you will have the Level 17 no tone Platinum Blonde hair you have been craving. It is going to be very tough to go up by 15 shades but trust me it is possible with loreal superblonde and clairol born blonde toner in extra Light Plaitnum. This is called a triple process bleach blonding people with really dark hair have to do this in order to go platinum. On the Journey your hair will go through several stages you will go from dark brown to light brown to red to orange to strawberry blonde to blonde to pale blonde. Also to keep your newly Platinum Blonde hair vibrant what I recommend is using the John Frieda Shampoo Conditioner plus colorglaze Platinum to Champagne for lighter shades of blonde hair.
