Definitely not. We do (and always have done) far too much of that sort of thing. . We should stop sticking our oar in where it is none of our business. .

I agree with Majikthise. We don’t want to turn this into anything worse. We can’t speak their language what if somehow some regime makes it look like it is Britain’s fault with propaganda and the people start attacking the people who are trying to help them? Or things milder or worse than that…

Given the fiscal crisis in the UK…I don’t think extra foreign policy spending on top of what, 20% VAT, is going to make anybody happy.

I recall Tony Blair got canned for similar…but, my grasp of UK politics isn’t the best.

Me, I would say why not? If they are asked, maybe they can solve the crisis.

well, in my presumption i think its nice to if Britian help out Libya maybe in the future they will do the same if anything were to happen.

I think it’s the correct decision. Nick Clegg, David Cameron and the Labour leader all agree with the decision and 500+ MPs voted yes against 13 no. I think it’s right because Gadaffi is killing (can’t say the m word how childish) his own people whilst lying about Ceasefires - I saw a video of one of his so called “Ceasefires” and it wasn’t pretty. Remember we won’t be using ground troops and our target isn’t Gadaffi; it’s to protect the libyan people.
