Would I be able to get my braces off earlier than the estimated amount of time?

I was talking to my friend today and she said that she asked her orthodontist to take her braces off early, and he did. My teeth weren’t too bad, just a little crooked on the bottom. I would love for them to be off as quick as possible.

The only way you would be able to get your braces off earlier is if they straighten out earlier, and then you would still have to get a retainer.

I agree with what ShyAne said. I was supposed to have mine for two and a half years but they were taken off after nine months because they straightened up fast. And then you’d still have to wear a retainer for a while. I didn’t wear my retainer at all because it hurt my gums too much. Didn’t affect my teeth though.
