Would I be able to get on disability for being bipolar?

Would I be able to get on disability for being bipolar? It’s been getting in the way of work so bad.

Answer #1

not unless you cant function or something.

Answer #2

Not unless you can no longer function. If that happens though then the state will probably put you into a mental hospital…

Answer #3

Probably not, unless it’s severe bipolar and then it’s a big maybe. They’re going to tell you to get some meds, and to talk to a doctor on a regular basis, which you should be doing already. Bipolar isn’t really a reason to be on disability, we all have issues, and we all have to work through them and that’s exactly what you’re going to have to do.
