Can you use boolean operators in the search thing on funadvice?

Sorry, random question. It doesnt seem to work for me, but I thought I would check if I am just doing it wrong since they vary. Or do they just not work here?

Answer #1

The search isn’t really sensitive to boolean operators - it just picks up on key words.

Answer #2

but I love them! Aside from their stupid name

Answer #3

I like the name…booo leee yan! lol

Answer #4

What does “booo leee yan!” mean?

Answer #5

lol…boolean operators are used in your search phrase to clearly identify the construction of your search - words like NOT, AND, OR…for example, if you wanted to look for morphine in pill form and not liquid, you type in “morphine pill NOT liquid”

Answer #6

Ooh…lol xP

Answer #7

ooh look at where the work of our favorite logicians have ended up. in computers lol.

Answer #8

should we be concerned your first thought for a search phrase involved morphine?

Answer #9

lol…I used an example from a question I was just looking at….that does look bad, though, even considering I’m allergic to morphine (^O^)
