@yaar The ranges you quote show the upper limits as recommended for adult males and lower limits as recommended for adult females. . the average BMI for a 14 year old girl is 19.3, with BMI levels less than 16.6 being recorded for 10% of 14 year old girls; . and only 10% being over BMI = 24.6. . Because of their lower average height and less than adult female maturity, the underweight, normal, overweight and obese figures for a 14 year old girl should all be quoted approximately 2 lower than those that you quote for the mature adult figure. BMI = 18.6 is about ideal for a 14 yo girl rather than bordering on underweight. . Charts are published showing actual BMI ranges for girls between 2 and 20: .

It is difficult to interpret such terms as "underweight" for a 14 year old girl because of the wide variation in levels of development / physical maturity which have a bearing on what may be considered underweight, normal and overweight. .. Best wishes - Majikthise. .
You're on the line between normal and underweight.. It wouldn't hurt to gain a few pounds. I'm 120 and I look normal. I'm also 5' ;)
You need to know your height along with your weight. http://funadvice.com/r/3kmuhri4t7
