Birth control for period pain?

Answer #1

Consult with your parents or other qualified Professionals for a second opinion…Take care !!

Answer #2

The pills regulate your hormones, not mess with them… It usually takes a while for your period to become regular and less painful, but if it is seriously messing with your life, there is nothing wrong with taking them…

Answer #3

I started taking them for pain when I was 21. I know it really hurt before, but the pills make them SO much better. I just have a dull ache now and I never need to take anything for it. I think you should go on the lowest dose possible though.

Answer #4

Well I have very bad period pains, I’m 14 too, and the doctor once suggested to my mother that I could go on birth control pills, but we both agreed no, because my period isn’t regular yet and plus although the pills can help your pain they really mess with your horomones and stuff. If your period isnt regular yet then wait a bit to see if the pain lessens a bit. But a benefit of taking the pill for cramps is you also have a form of birth control, so if you ever have sex then you have less chance of becoming pregnant.
