Boyfriend goes out with his ex?

ok so I met an amazing guy I am MADLY in love with. Things have been going soo great! A few weeks ago he tells me one of his close friend…girls…asked him out to go with him to her high school formal thing. He asked me for permission to go…i thought that was soo weird…and i felt bad that he was even considering but i simply said “im not going to run your life and make your own decisions”. He ended up not going. Today he told me he had promised his “friend” to take her to this dance. Then he says its his ex. Then the date its supposed to be on is the 11th meaning its probably a Valentines Day themed dance….i didn’t know what to say…other than “I wouldn’t do this to you” and hes taking her and I prentended I didn’t care…I feel so horrible. I love him so much but i don’t think I should be hurting this much…what to do…

I think that you should have cofidence in yourself if he cares enough to let you know about it the odds are that he values you opion. If he didn’t he wouldn’t have told you about it in the first place and just went anyway and made up a lie to cover his actions

DON’T BE CONCERNED ABOUT THE EX IF THEY BROKE UP THERE WAS A PROBLEM THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE. jUST MAKE SURE THAT HE’S HAPPY IN YOUR RELATIONSHIP

I understand how you feel….and I wouldn’t like it either…..I would reverse the situation to him and ask him “how would you feel? Tell him you feel unconfortable about it but its his choice….but you have to be honest in letting him know it hurts your feelings knowing he’s with her. If you feel strongly I would ASAP send him a letter, explaine your open and honest feelings….and be ready for the truth that if he chooses her over your hurt feelings…. but at least you were honest with him.
