How beneficial would going back to highschool be?

I dropped out and I definitely don’t plan on going to University, but if I decided to go back, would just going back to highschool and only having my highschool diploma help me in the long run, like with jobs and such? Or is it even worth it if I don’t plan on going to Uni?

Answer #1

I believe going to highschool and getting a diploma is worth it because it shows potential employers that you are able to complete something and they will be more likely to hirer someone with a highschool diploma than someone with a ged. I believe it is worth it

You can get a job but it’s gonna be alot rougher on you later in life, when you want to buy a house, car, and be able to support yourself, and pay bills. but if you go back to high school, you can get a higher paying job, and have a better chance not struggling to keep yourself in a house with transportation and etc. Plus more shopping money

If you graduate you can do so much more with your life.

Going back to school would be pretty beneficial. For one, it is helpful for getting a job. Although there are some work places that will hire you without a diploma, more and more employers are actually focusing on those with the education. I believe some actually put it on job postings as a requirement for applicants.

Going back to school would also be beneficial should you change your mind on what you’d like to do in the future. You may not feel like you’ll change your mind, but it does happen. I dropped out of school when I was 16, but I ended up going back later on and going to college. I had no intentions of going back originally, but there’s a lot of room for change between now and when you’re 20, 25, or whatever. It’s always good to have the options open just in case, you know?

I strongly suggest you go back, in either case. Having that education is never a bad thing.
