Bleach your hair before dieing it blonde

What does it mean when they say bleach your hair before dieing it blonde I thought when you dyed it blonde that was bleaching x

bleaching it will turn it orangy blonde but you have to apply blond on top if you wan it to look right. :)

When you bleach your hair it lifts off your natural colour and leaves your hair a very light blonde/white colour. If you are planning on bleaching your hair you should get it done by a professional or it will most likey just turn it orange and your roots will go a whitey colour. Usually people with dark colour hair like black, brown or red bleach their hair before dying it so the colour they want takes right away.

no if you have blown hair and you put the blond on top of that it will do nothing. you have to bleach your hair to lighten it then you can put the dye in.

ok there is a kit at hair solan stores like sally’s. you get a home bleaching kit. it is in a yellow package and I comes with a tub of ‘bleach’ and other things. just follow the directions and your hair should be almost white. then after like 6 hours or so dye it the shade of blonde you wanted. its really easy and simple. googluck

Bleaching your hair is sort of like stripping it. You are stripping the current color from your hair so you can dye it lighter. It has to be done if you want to go from a dark to a light color because light colors won’t show up over darker colors.
