Do you think its bad for a 13 year old to have tattoos and piercings?

all my teachers at school were nice to me but after i got my tattoos and piercings the female teachers started treating me like crap and sometimes i hear them getting together in the corner of the classroom and whisper and sometimes i even see them point at me and look at me..its rediculous they act like 7th graders gossiping about other students

Answer #1

i ment 15 year old srry everytime i ask a question i make a mistake lol

Answer #2

I think it depends on the person. It’s obviouslly not wrong, seeoing as you can do it, with concent of parents. I think Tattoos are a little over the top, for 15 years olds, but what do I know. And if a teacher is treating you any different based on your looks, then you need to report you teacher(s).

Answer #3

For teachers,it can be bad.But now, since everybody is getting into this tattoo and piercings,i don’t think it matters,it is very common and even 13 year olds have piercing or tattoos. To me its not good at any age,i don’t like piercing and tattoo. To a teacher, they want their students to be neat and disciplined, maybe they didn’t liked how you have done it.

Answer #4

thanx i thought about reporting it but i dont like telling on pple and there was a point that i thought mabey its just a coincidence mabey i did somthing to make them not like me and just dont know or im being paranoid but i higly doubt the last one

Answer #5

that could be it but at the same time i doubt it cuz its only the girl teachers all the dude teachers compliment it

Answer #6

Yes and no. You have to think about how others are going to perceive you. People immediately assume when they see tatoos and piercings (especially on a woman) that they are rebellious, possibly promiscuous (hence the name tramp stamp), and not a very good person. It is unfortunate that our society bases everything upon first impressions, but this is the way the world works.
At such a young age, you may regret these things later in life. The piercing, they can be taken out. But the tats are there forever, unless you want to pay MORE money having them removed, which is very expensive. When you start dating, the first thing they will notice is the outside. If they think bad things about you before getting to know you, how will you ever attract the right types of people? When you eventually start applying for jobs, employers will also take this into account and you may lose the job to someone less qualified, but who resembles what they are “looking” for in an applicant. As they say first impressions are lasting. I know that you want to be unique, different, make a statement and so forth…we all do! But don’t make it by mutilating your beautiful body. Make an impact and statement by contributing to your community, your school, sports, drama, arts, whatever you feel interests you! I hope this has been helpful and take care of yourself, you have so much to experience in this life.

Answer #7

this is very good advice thanx but as for the dating the reason that doesnt go badly is because all the guys i date are like that they are into the tats and piercings and as for the stereo types i dont really think im permiscuos but mabey a little rebelous but i do good in school so i just feel like thats how they should be judging me by considering that they are teachers

Answer #8

They’re stereotypes though. Even if you’re not promiscuous, people will think you are. And the types of guys you date will probably change as you grow older. The only problem I have with young people getting tattoos is that you might regret it. I would never get a tattoo that I can’t easily hide. You never know when you’re going to want a job that requires you to look professional. Other than that, I say go for it. Express yourself.

Answer #9

As long as you have your consent from your parents, nobody can say you anything, simply ignore your teachers and do well in your class, they cannot judge you by your tattoo.

Answer #10

thanx

Answer #11

i think its ok for a 13 year old to have ear piercings, i got mine when i was 4. i dont think that a 13 year old should get a perminent tattoo, i think its ok if they get a henna tattoo or a temporary tattoo or an air brushed tattoo

Answer #12

im 15

Answer #13

It depends. Quite frankly I would want to know what a parent was thinking allowing a 13 (or 15) year old to get tattoos. Piercings dont bother me as much because holes close. Honestly, how you look is going to dictate how people see you. Whether it is fair or not, people are going to make judgments. It may not be fair, but it’s life. Either deal with negative perception, or dont dress in ways that invite censure. Those are the choices you have.

Answer #14

i rather just deal with the negativity than stop getting tattoos its fun getting them

Answer #15

then get a tattoo i thaught u were 13 since the question. i thnk its ok for a 15 year old to get a tattoo
