How do you shave your "down yonder"?

alright, I dont want to ask anyone I know about this one. not even my closest friends, and my best friend wasnt too uh, explanatory. so id rather anonymously ask.

How do you shave your “down yonder”?

and yes, I mean vagina. its just funnier to say that. So seriosuly, how do you shave it? and with what? how do you avoid getting a rash?

I tried shaving it last august, and I gave myself cuts everywhere, and there were still little black bumps where the hairs had been. ugh, sorry. this is getting graphic. I aslo tried nair, but the bottle says dont do that, and it didnt work well anyways. So what parts do I shave? where? and how? please only girls answer.

Here’s some tips on shaving down “yonder” :)

-NEVER shave in the opposite direction that the hair is growing…that’ll almost guarantee you ingrown hairs.

-When you do shave your bikini area, make sure that you always use a shaving cream and preferable shave under the shower, YOU should never shave while it’s dry.

-Also to prevent razor rash..try getting yourself a product called VAYA SMOOTH…it’s specifically formulated for ingrown hairs and shaving rash and use it before (at least 2 days) and after you shave.

-Alternatively if you can’t get the above product get some aloe vera gel/cream and apply it there. that should also soothe the skin and help for razor rash.

  • Oh and try and “invest” in an expensive razor, you’ll not be as likely to cut yourself as with a disposable one.

As for how much to shave: That is personal choice, you can shave it all OFF…but I think most people will agree that a woman is supposed to have at least a little bit of hair on their vagina, mainly just go with what is comfortable for you.

You don’t have to shave at all, but, if you want to, I suggest that you use a new razor. You can shave in the bath but just don’t let all the pubics go down the drain or, of course, you’ll have a clogged drain. You could give yourself a haircut down there but just be careful and don’t use very sharp scissors.(If you’re just shaving to wear a bathing suit, no need to do that).

It’s good to use a shaving gel. That will cut down on any bumps because it’s made for shaving.

Some extra advice. Don’t shave your eyebrows. Don’t pluck them either unless you really, really, really need to because you’ll have to do it every other day for the rest of your life and you’ll never have that natural look ever again. I’m 55 years. old and I still have to pluck and shave mine, what little bit that I have left.

ok DONT SHAVE IT ALL your are suppose to have some hair anyways!!! its better protection down there if you have hair!! anyways I shave with the razor I use for my legs! and you only go one way! UP!!! not down UP!!! otherwise you could badly cut urself!! you might not beable to stop the itching! ik whenever I shave I get alittle itchy! but try puting some lotion where it itches! its mostly because its irritated! and you cant get a perfect shave when you use the blade! its impossible! you might have some black hairs that are shorter but they arnt noticable! but before you shave take some shampoo and put it on your hair so your less likely to cut! its a lot easier! hope this helps!!

shave as much as you want. I personally shave it all. and your skin will eventually get used to it and you wont get the bumps. make sure you have a sharp razor or nair thats specifically for the bikini area. just make sure you put some lotion down there after.. itll help with razor burn

I find that a clear deodorant works very well for razor burn and the little bumps. I used to be a dancer and well, we had to keep things neat so we were always trying everything to keep down the bumps and redness. bikini zone works great too but beware of getting it “in there” cause it does not feel very nice.

also, if this is your first time shaving down there, use a trimmer first to minimize the amount of hair you have to shave off. you don’t want to clog up your razor or dull it out faster by having a massive amount to shave off with it.

To prevent ingrown hairs (the little black bumps) you need to exfoliate the skin. Use a gentle scrub (you can use a facial scrub that says it is for sensitive skin) and scrub the area morning and night for a week before you attempt to shave again. Use a shaving gel/cream that says it is for sensitive skin. Remember - the skin there is sensitive so you need to use gentle products. Always use a brand new razor. Try using one with a built in gel strip. Go very slowly & lightly and shave against the grain. You can shave as much or as little as you like.
