How do I avoid these people I hate when they're going to be at my house?

Like at the hospital? Emergency room?

How long are they staying? If they are only gonna be at your house for an hour or so then you can just stay in your room. If they are staying the whole day then you could make plans to be somewhere else or just suck it up and deal with it. It’s just one day.

Well, why are they coming over? If it’s important then put on a happy face and be civil. Not important? Wear some head phones, watch some tv, head to your room. Whatever it is that you do, remember one thing, if you let them bother you and that is all you think about while they are over, you might as well go try to hold a conversation with them because they will be a constant in your mind. It’s difficult to be around people you don’t like. But, if you let it get to you it will have destroyed an otherwise beautiful day. And, we wouldn’t want that, would we?
