Why do we automatically think that the things that can make us better are gross?

I guess its just a human thing. Enemas, anyone?

Answer #1

I won’t say enemas are gross, but they are certainly very uncomfortable. I’ve had the unfortunate even of having to go through them after an operation in the hospital once and it was painful and embarrassing. So no, I think children find them gross and adults find them funny or embarassing.

My opinion.

After childbirth its really hard to gross me out or embaress me. Having random nurses sticking their hands in you once an hour, needing help to go pee or take a cr@p, having them break your water and fluid gushing out of you and then leaking out for hours, having catheters after you get an epi so you can pee, then having people watch as you scream and push out a baby out of your giant swollen v@gina and take a cr@p on the delivery table….you loose all your shame during childbirth.

Answer #3

I kind of asked because the “ewwww” factor stops people from doing something that is potentially good for them.

Answer #4

Potentially isn’t good enough for me. If it is proven to be good I won’t let the EWWWW factor stop me. lol. I can understand why people avoid it though. Some things just aren’t ment to go up somewhere.
