Authors addresses

Ok well my 1st question is..is it better to write an author or email her. Whats a website where you can find authors addresses or email addresses.(without having to sign up or anything) im trying to write to caroline b. Cooney.

Nowadays, email s taken over here as well.

In some books you can even find the author’s homepage (web) address, and on such sites there’s usually a way to contact the person.

If not, simply try googling - author’s name + ‘homepage’ - and see if the right one doesn’t come up.

And thirdly, the old, tried and true way is to contact the publishers, and politely ask if they could give you an address, or if they could forward a letter from you. Publishers are generally pretty good about answering requests (if only to say no) because they want to have a good public image and sell their books.
